Show: When women go in to labor, some have a vaginal discharge, often mucus and blood, which is called show.
Station: When you are in labor, you may hear your doctor, nurse or midwife refer to the baby’s “station.” This is the relationship of the baby’s head to bony knobs in your pelvis. This is measured in numbers and positive numbers indicate delivery is closer.
