National Infant Mortality Awareness month

September is National Infant Mortality Awareness month.
This was listed by the National Healthy Start Association.
Infant mortality rates are not dropping in the US as quickly as they should be. Awareness of what may put women at higher risk of having babies with difficulties would help bring the rate down. Education and concerted efforts to improve the living conditions and medical care would make a huge difference.
