welcome, I’m happy you’re here

I’m Jess — I am a mama, wife, artist and doula.

Being a doula has felt like a soul calling for me. I grew up loving birth, babies, and motherhood. Birth wasn’t something I feared; it was something women were called to do.

After having my first daughter in 2021, there was a draw for me to support women to uplift their voices during labor, and educate them about the preparation it takes to go into birth and postpartum. With my first birth, I prepared for months physically, however, emotionally, I needed that guidance through postpartum. I experience severe PPD, PPA, and PPOCD and looking back I would have loved to lean on that emotional consistent support of my doula and community more. It took me having my second daughter, finding my doula and life-long mentor, Jaime, to listen and encourage me, during a stage where I had no family and friends nearby, to build up community and step into becoming a doula.

No matter how you envision your birth, I am here to guide and empower you and your family through it. That may look different for everyone; it can be processing a loss, walking with you into that appointment, preparing for the unknown, or help guide and empower you through these transitions.

Black and white photo of three people outdoors: a man, a woman, and a small child. The man has glasses and short hair, wearing a t-shirt. The woman has long hair, wearing a cozy sweater and wide-leg pants. The child has curly hair, wearing a shirt and patterned shoes. They are standing on grass with bushes and trees in the background.
