The Process
Quick Turnaround: Your placenta products are ready within 48 hours once I receive the placenta.
Placenta Encapsulation: These are used in that immediate postpartum time. You’ll get between 75-150 capsules based on the size of the placenta. Encapsulation involves two days of processing.
Day one: Starts with cleaning the placenta, making a placenta print, steaming the placenta to a 160° internal temperature, and placing into a dehydrator for 12+ hours.
Day two: Make the tincture, then blend the placenta into a powder, encapsulate into vegan 00 capsules. Deliver or have a family member pick up from the Womb Within Studio.
Placenta Tincture: A placenta tincture is made with high quality organic gluten-free vodka and is allowed to steep for at least 6 weeks. You can then use the tincture from the bottle or you can filter it. A tincture has an indefinite shelf life, making it a great resource to prolong the benefits of your placenta to be used during premenstrual, menopausal, or other hormonal times.
Cord Keepsake: The cord that connected you to your baby while she grew inside you, can be treasured through umbilical cord dehydration.
Placenta Print: The print is made using the natural blood of your placenta and made on watercolor paper.
Service & Privacy: Includes being on-call for your birth, pick up (or family/friend can drop-off), preparation and delivery with complete privacy & discretion. Once I have picked up your placenta, I transport it according to food safety standards, ensuring proper refrigeration and storage.
